Triumph Bonneville ‘Green Legend’ Steve McQueen Tribute

Thanks to their appearance together in the war film, The Great Escape, few things are quite as legendarily intertwined as Steve McQueen and the Triumph Scrambler motorcycle. In fact, they’re so inextricably linked that, when FCR Original decided to customize one of Triumph’s most iconic bikes, which they called the ‘Green Legend,’ paying tribute to Mr. McQueen seemed practically compulsory. And we’re not complaining one bit about the result.

Based on a Triumph Bonneville, this beautiful two-wheeler features a gas tank done up in iconic British Racing Green (an especially fitting color) and boasts a bevy of smaller iconic details — like the #7 racing decals on number boards. But it’s certainly not just cosmetic upgrades, as it was also stripped of all unnecessary weight, had its frame and swingarm stripped of everything but their bare metal, and also got new custom leather upholstery. With no detail left unconsidered, we feel confident Mr. McQueen would happily hop aboard this beautiful bike and ride it off into the sunset.
