On August 21st, 2017, an astronomical event that hasn’t occurred over the U.S. for 99 years will finally take place again. We’re talking, of course, about the impending total solar eclipse. And two lucky people are going to get to witness it in incredible fashion thanks to the folks at Airbnb via their Night At Solar Eclipse experience.
It all starts on the 20th, when Airbnb will fly you up to Oregon where you’ll stay the night in a geodesic dome loaded with high-tech astronomy gear out in the wilderness. There, you’ll be accompanied by a National Geographic night-sky expert photographer and a Yale-educate Astrophysicist. You’ll join them for an intimate dinner and a chat about all-things-space before resting for the following day’s big event. The next morning, you’ll board a private jet and take to the skies to view the total solar eclipse from the comfort of the skies and be above any potential cloud cover. It’s a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. And the best part is, it’s totally free.
